Abstract

Entrepreneurship among Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) plays an important role in driving local economic growth. However, many of the MSME players face severe challenges and even ups and downs, especially after the Covid-19 Pandemic. This community service programme aims to develop the mentality and spirit of entrepreneurship in the form of counseling for poor women communities who have and will develop businesses in Bira Village, Tamalanrea District, Makassar, totalling 5 fostered business fields and a total of 20 business partners. Activities were carried out in the form of counselling in the form of exposure, interactive talk shows, FGDs equipped with pre-counselling screening and post-counselling evaluation. The results of the activity show that pre-counselling screening on participants obtained identification of several problems, namely decreased interest in entrepreneurship that is being run and or does not have the drive to develop and grow their business. Post-counselling evaluation results obtained an increase in interest and enthusiasm to stretch their entrepreneurship. In FGD sessions, new business ideas that are being run have been guided in preparing SWOT analyses that are useful in development plans or even business strategies.
